In a Jewish household made the final preparations Friday night lunch: The food we prepared and permanently kept warm until Saturday. It is trimmed, cleaned and bought the last things, because on Shabbat, no operations completed. For rabbinic Judaism, the arrangements for Shabbat begin before sunset on Friday evening. In total, there are many rules to do and what to leave, said that Ver offered more serious than the Ge offered. Often the men go to the synagogue to celebrate Shabbat input during the women at home and set the table Light candles (not later than 18 minutes before sunset. Local Times>> here \u0026lt;\u0026lt; cost). For almost everything in this process, it is a blessing that begins with the fact that they praised God and thanked him for its bid.

blessing over the Shabbat candles
Barukh Attah Adonai
Eloheinu melekh ha-olam, asher
kideshanu bemitzvotav tsivanu l've hadlik
Ner shel Shabbat.
kideshanu bemitzvotav tsivanu l've hadlik
Ner shel Shabbat.
Blessed are you, Lord our God, King of the universe, who has sanctified us with his Geboten und uns Geboten hat die Schabbat-Kerze zu entzünden.
Die Ordnung (Siddur) für den Schabbat-Empfang (Kabalat Schabbat) in der Synagoge läuft folgendermaßen ab:
-Lied „Lecha Dodi“ >>>>>>>>>>>
(der ganze Text mit transliteration >>hier<< ) -Psalm 92 + 93
evening prayer of Shabbat
(includes acknowledgments and requests for reversal,
healing, return to Israel, coming of the Messiah
and the restoration of the temple and its
worship, peace, etc.)
That sounds indeed like a night program, but allows the centuries-long practice to read and sing at a rate that enables a outsiders makes very difficult to keep up und dem geübten Synagogengänger nach ca. 1 ½ Stunden wieder bei seiner Familie zu sein.
The great part of the table following prayer after dinner, when all have eaten too much to run away;)
No, seriously. If it is a beautiful prayer of thanks with a request to Jerusalem, appreciation for his wife and family, etc.
This ends the ceremonial part of the Friday evening. Like every week there on Shabbat morning, noon and evening prayers, although they are slightly changed on Shabbat.
The importance of Shabbat , from a Jewish perspective and seen throughout Biblical principle, is very complex. Shabbat is God "sits" and governed. Man has a Day for God and his family, and gets a taste of eternity with God. Shabbat is the basis for all other feasts of the LORD and connects the beginning to the end. But let us take a closer look at.
In the first creation account (Gn 2:2 ff) we read of God that he "suspended". The word ( וישבת ) comes from the root ( ש ב ת ), making it the Sabbath (as well שבת ) purely lexical already connected. Schäwät, another Vokalisierungsmöglichkeit the root "Shabbat" means "(that) sitting" or "domination". God created by His Word (John 1) and "sat down," he ruled. Acts from 2.33 to 25 (or PS110), we know that this power was handed over Jesus and one day will be visible in this world. Shabbat is the 7th Day. "Seven" (Hebrew שבע ) is the root of the word "swear" connected. God confirmed his statements with this number through the entire Bible through.
Shabbat is also a sign of God's covenant with Israel at Mount Sinai (Ex 31.14 ff). to preserve and sanctify him is part of the Ten Commandments and is repeatedly described as such in the 5 books of Moses. Moreover, I venture to say no, he is of the essence of God (see Colossians 2:17).
In his prophetic importance of reconciliation and restoration of the Sabbath with all other parties connected to the AT. It is the goal! In Colossians 2:16 ff, we read also that those parties a "shadow" on future things, but that I would like to employ me some other time ...
There is every 7 years a Sabbath year.
All 7x7 +1 years, the jubilee year to the deeper meaning here, I would like it either.
Both, however, the Sabbatical year and the jubilee year, with the idea of Shabbat together and teach us trust in God: Then in a country where we had to rely on rain (and is) like no in the world and today, when pile up mountains of food in the supermarkets on our doorstep.
summarize. Shabbat is:
first -zur Erinnerung an die Schöpfung als Grundlage aller bibl. Lehre (Ex 31,12ff)
2. - ein Tag um Gottes Wort zu studieren (Deut 6,4ff)
3. - lehrt Gott zu vertrauen
4. -ein Vorgeschmack auf die Ewigkeit (Off 22)
