Am Abend des Gedenktags beginnt dann der 62. Unabhängigkeitstag (ein Tag beginnt gemäß 1.Mose 1 mit dem Abend). In der Innestadt sind überall Bühnen aufgebaut und es herrscht ausgelassene Stimmung, am nächsten Tag sind die Parks überfüllt mit grillenden Familien.
